How much should I pay to change timing belt in my 2000 Volvo V70 AWD?

You could pay anywhere between $500-$1000 for the job depending where you take it.

You should pay what you are charged to get it done right.|||Be a man and do it yourself.

God didn%26#039;t give you that much space under the hood so you could be a pretty boy and keep your hands clean while real men turned wrenches on your car.

Now, you didn%26#039;t say which engine it was but it%26#039;s probably the I5 since you mentioned AWD. There%26#039;s a LOT of space under there, it should be a pretty easy job. You will need a new tensioner along with the belt, and it%26#039;s a good time to do the water pump too since you%26#039;ll be rolling around in that general area. You also may want to invest in a cam lock tool.

Since timing is important, loosen all the spark plugs so the engine won%26#039;t roll when you pull the belt. Before pulling the belt, make a mark on the block which you can match to a mark on the pulley for the crank so you can do the matchmark timing game.

BE A MAN, USE YOUR HANDS.
